Elders + Staff

We are a church led by elders.

Storyhill’s leadership structure ensures mutual encouragement and accountability, preventing a one-person rule. A few critical matters, mainly concerning land, pastors, and elders, require affirmation through Ministry Partner votes, typically recommended by our governing Session for your consideration.

Teaching Elders, ordained by our Presbytery, serve in full-time ministry after being called by our church. Ruling Elders, alongside Teaching Elders, are nominated and confirmed by ministry partners after examination by the Elder Selection Team (EST) for their leadership and character. They serve a three-year term before transitioning to an "Inactive Elder" role, remaining pivotal in Storyhill's well-being.
