KNOW: As we look up and look around, subtle reminders point us toward keeping Christ at the center of this season.
DO: Look – slow down, see, and be reminded of Jesus (his gospel) in the ordinary things of Christmas.
The Christmas season, abundant with memories and symbolic representations, often holds deeper significance, pointing to Jesus. Encouraged to develop a fresh perspective, we're urged to notice subtle reminders of Jesus all around us, as Michael's benediction prompts us to "look up and look around" during Christmas and find assurance and reminders of Jesus in our daily lives.
The upcoming sermons will center on simple Christmas objects, connecting them to aspects of Jesus' identity or the first Christmas. As we immerse ourselves in the season, we'll discover reminders of Jesus and God's unconditional love in the midst of the festive lights. Behind the glitter of Christmas lies profound substance, often unassuming and easily overlooked. May this subtle yet profound essence draw us closer to Jesus, making Him the central focus of our celebration during this season.
