Hurricane Helene
We are grateful for the overwhelming support from many of you asking how we can help our neighbors affected by Hurricane Helene. Please join us in praying for their safety, the quick restoration of essential services, and that their needs are met. Most importantly, may they feel God’s love and comfort during this time.
Our community is working on plans to assist with immediate needs through local efforts like organizing, donating, and packing, as well as deployment opportunities for those able to lend a hand. Our initial efforts, in partnership with other organizations and churches, are outlined below
The Town of Davidson is organizing a donation drive to support our neighbors in Western North Carolina. Donations of high-demand items will be collected from Wednesday, October 2, to Friday, October 4, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Davidson Public Safety Building (216 S. Main Street). Storyhill and the Town of Davidson are partnering with local and regional groups to ensure the donations reach those in need. See below to view the complete list of accepted donated items.
Coming soon: Packing, donation, and delivery opportunities to the Hendersonville/King's Mountain/Forest City area in partnership with our friends at Grace Covenant Church and Journey Church.
All hands on deck: Samaritan's Purse will be serving in the Boone, NC area the week of October 14th. A team from Storyhill is planning a trip to Asheville for three days to assist Samaritan's Purse with debris cleanup, roof tarping, and mud removal. If you're interested in joining, please email missions@storyhill.org for more details.
We will adjust our collections and organize trips to serve those affected as needs evolve. To stay updated on how our church is helping those impacted by Hurricane Helene, please email missions@storyhill.org to express your interest in receiving more information.
Having said all of that, we know and acknowledge that so many of you and your families are being personally affected by the devastation. We would be honored to pray for you, your loved ones, and/or friends. Please let us know how to best lift you up by clicking the prayer request button below.
Sincerely,
Billy Flippin | Storyhill Missions Pastor

Samaritan's Purse is a Christ-centered organization providing relief with trained workers, nurses, and doctors. They have field hospitals, and their equipment is stored nearby. Working through local churches, they assist those in need. We'll be sending teams to work with them regularly. Let us know if you want to join a Storyhill team as we coordinate trips.
