Sermon Series: Breaking Ground

Jesus' transformative work in our lives extends to every corner, even the most challenging ones. While complete healing awaits in eternity, in Christ, we are already experiencing renewal and new beginnings. Just as we witness the demolition and construction on South Main Street, may we also see God's rebuilding in our lives. Let's partner with Jesus in constructing what endures! Throughout this series, we'll draw from verses like 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Psalm 139:23-24, along with others that emphasize the importance of heart condition (such as Hosea 10:12, Ezekiel 36:26-28, Proverbs 28:14 and 4:23, Psalm 51:17). We'll acknowledge that our hearts may be in difficult places due to circumstances or choices, and encourage action steps, whether it's seeking counseling, confiding in a friend, finding a relevant memory verse, engaging in prayer, or participating in community support programs like Grief Share. Together, let's cultivate growth and resilience in our journey of faith.

  • Know: In Christ, you are a new creation! God has the desire, power, and compassion to break up the hard places in our lives and make room for new growth.

  • Do: Take inventory and the next step.
