hope in action

A few weeks ago, ten volunteers served in Asheville and the surrounding areas, witnessing hope in action amidst the heartbreaking aftermath of Hurricane Helene. While the visual destruction was sobering, the outpouring of support from those serving in Christ's name was profoundly humbling. Beyond providing immediate relief, the team delivered 10,000 meals to a ministry called "Red Truck Men," which will distribute them to communities and remote areas lacking resources. These efforts mark the start of ongoing monthly efforts in the WNC mountains, with opportunities for individuals or small groups to join day trips or other initiatives. As we continue looking ahead, plans are in motion to pack additional meals and strengthen partnerships with sister churches to develop long-term relief strategies.
